I just got back from a retreat in Sunset Texas as a guest of the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild. It was very inspiring and a lot of fun. Thanks to Denise, Lee, Kathy and all the members who put this great event together.

img_0360 img_0363 img_0370These are the three quilts I worked on. The one on the left is a Christmas quilt and still needs another row, the top in the middle is made from my Gelli printed fabric and is complete and the one on the right is a work in progress which I am really liking. It is a string quilt that is all about value – the placement of light, medium and dark strips is critical to giving it the 3-d appearance.

And these are my sweet friends Lee on the left and Denise on the right. Lee is President of the Guild and did a fabulous job of overseeing everything at the retreat.

  1. We are so happy you joined us on retreat. Everyone loved seeing what you were working on. We hope to get you back in Dallas for a gelli printing class. ~Lee

  2. Looks like you had a lot of fun! Can’t wait to hear all about it.
