A “Storm” Bag and A Few Other Things

There is a story to this bag. It used to be an “art quilt, one of my early ones. It was hanging in a shop for display and was damaged by Hurricane Harvey. After many washings with Color Catchers, I decided to turn it into this great big, beautiful tote bag. I am very happy with it and now it has a story!

These zipper bags went to Rockport Center for the Arts this week.

I have also been sneaking in a little sewing on my next Insanity Quilt this time using rectangles.

And my embroidery thread got so tangled up and disorganized that I had to stop and do a clean up. There are two more drawers of blacks, whites and neutrals but I couldn’t resist taking a picture of all of this delicious color.

  1. You continue to amaze me. Always coming up with new ideas from “leftovers” from previous quilts. Another wonderful idea making something beautiful and useful ❤️
