Adding A Class: Pumpkins and Witches and Spiders Oh My

Although I taught this class last year I never added it to my class list. I know that is HOT outside but it is time to work on projects for the next season which is Fall. I love making things for fall and even though Halloween is not my favorite holiday I just cannot resist these cute witches.

In this three hour class, you will receive pattern and instruction for different size witches. What happened last year is everyone got wrapped up in the witches and the cute pumpkin pincushion but I also will show you how to make a spiderweb block and a lace pumpkin applique.

Supply List: Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies

Witch – background fabric for blocks, scraps of black and white or fabric of your choice for dress, hat, boot and pumpkin, Halloween fabric for framing the blocks and for the borders, heat and bond or wonder under. The amount of fabric you need will depend on what size witch and how many.I used an inexpensive black vinyl for the hat and boot but that is certainly optional.

Spiderwebs – Foundation fabric (Muslim or similar), strips or Selvages-fall or Halloween themed.

Lace Pumpkin – Assorted FLAT laces. You will need enough to cover a 10 1/2″ square.

Pumpkin Pincushion – 2 or 3 fabrics of choice – about a 10″ square of each, 1/2 skein of embroidery floss, scrap of green fabric for leaf, small piece of ribbon for curl, one button, poly fiberfill. You will also need a doll needle and probably a needle threader.

    Looks like fun Susie!
I am not seeing any dates or times for this class, maybe I am not looking in the correct link?

    • Patty I have not booked one yet but will try and get one booked at a Golden Needles in September. Or get 6 friends together and we can do one.
