Card Making Time

I am back from my time with the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild. It was a wonderful experience with the nicest people. Thank you all.

Now I really really need to get into card making mode. My supply is threadbare. As promised I will share a few pictures as I go through the process which takes a couple of weeks.

As you can see this is a big production. Since I have to get out every fabric and tool that I think will make a card the first step is messy. I pull old linen pieces, painted and GELLI printed fabric, stamps, printed and embroidered words, buttons, lace, burlap and trim and anything else I can think of. Then I cut them into 5 x 7 pieces and put them in a basket for the next step. I usually make a couple of hundred at a time.

So now I have two baskets full ready for sewing which I will start tomorrow. More to come if you want to follow the process.
