Insanity Update and A Couple More

The top of my Insanity Quilt is done! It measures 60” x 77” and I am so pleased. The squares start with 1 1/2”, then 2” then 2 1/2” and finally 3”. The picture on the right is my backing made up of scraps left from “Manhattan Modern” my all time favorite fabric group. I think they will play nice together and this is a quilt I will keep for me so I get to enjoy all that luscious fabric. Now I need to quilt it. I loaded it today but am still thinking about the design. It will come to me.

This is a string quilt pieced and quilted ready for binding. I will post a final when it is complete.

And one more I have been working on. Random fabric scraps cut into circles. I love the reverse black/white, white/black animal print fabric. This one is ready to quilt but I will have to give it some thought too.

There are more in the works but I need to take a break and make cards!

  1. I remember the circles you were making. Turned out beautifully! Never heard about the string quilt before. Love those polka dots! ❤️

  2. Susie,
I think that the String Quilt may be one of my all time favorites that you’ve created. The photo is outstanding and once again it reminds me of a kaleidoscope. All 3 that you are finishing up are terrific but kaleidoscope is tops in my book!

  3. Susie, the quilts look great. That Insanity quilt would make me insane just thinking of cutting out all those little pieces, much less dealing with them, but it came out just grand. Glad you’re keeping it! Hope it gets a special place in your home.
