Sometimes you need a break from making “big” things like quilts. Plus I always like to keep little gifts on hand. So I came up with this class that uses mostly scraps and makes some neat gift items.
I will be teaching at Quilters Patch in Victoria, TX this week and this class was their idea so we will schedule one there this summer. If you want one with a small group contact me. We can have some fun and make some great gifts at the same time.
Class Description : In this three hour class, we will make items of students choice including potholders, mug rugs, pincushions, glasses case, tissue holders and luggage tags. Seasonal items may be included depending on time of year. I will bring lots of items for inspiration and lots of tips to make your gifts special.
Supply list : Basic Sewing and cutting supplies, scraps (10” squares are good for most projects), muslin or broadcloth, flannel or batting, heat n bond or wonder under, insul-bright for pot holders, stuffing of choice for pin cushions, bias tape or binding for glasses case, small pieces of clear vinyl for luggage tags. Nice to have: decorative thread, small embellishments, small wedge ruler.
