Two Fun Selvage Projects

Spread the love

These are the windows in my studio and I decided to jazz them up with some selvage

valances. I cut them 14” high and twice the width of the window then used a tension

rod to pop them up. This was a fun project and really added color to the room. It didn’t

even make a dent in my selvage stash which tells you how many I hoard I mean I have.

Here are a couple of close ups in case you want to make your own.

The second project is a table runner using Selvages and ribbon. I did some line quilting using variegated thread and Pom Pom trim.

  1. So cute Susie! I have a tub full of pompom trim…and I don’t even quilt! Such a happy textile, like polka dots! Been thinking about you lots lately, sewing away….stay safe please. See you soon…I hope! Kay

    • Thanks Kay. I love pompoms and use them on pillows, pin cushions and anything I can think of that needs a little extra color.
You take care and we will see each other soon.
